  • "The Park is very nice and much nicer are the staff - very helpful and they keep the area very clean."

This was our first camping holiday and we chose Sandylands Holiday Park at Saltcoats in Ayrshire. Typical for the West Coast, it was raining really heavily and windy and we had a family argument about putting up our first tent - how fun!!

After finally getting the tent up, we went to get the key for the shower block, which I will tell you about soon. The Park is very nice and much nicer are the staff - very helpful and they keep the area very clean. The entertainment club is every bit as good as Haven, if not more friendly and the staff are all like a wee family, which is good. There was no shortage of politeness and friendliness in this Park.
We took our dog and she loved it. This Park is very good because you can visit Largs, Ayr, Ardrossan, where they did a scene from Still Game (famous Scottish show). As for that key for the shower block, well, we should have slept in there - it is really warm and clean.

  • "It was such an ideal park and location to be able to spend precious time with our family. We will certainly be returning to this park!"

My family and I live in Edinburgh but have lots of relatives living in Ayrshire. We are a family of 5 so we are too many to stay with our relatives so we hired an 8 berth caravan for a long weekend which was amazing!
It was so spacious so one night we had the children’s cousins and her mum and dad to stay. The children loved the entertainment at the club. The next night a dear friend travelled over from Arran and we spent a lovely evening with him and he was able to stay over. The next morning we went for a lovely walk along the beach before our friend caught the ferry back to Arran. On the last night the children’s Granny came from Kilmarnock to stay! It was such an ideal park and location for us to be able to spend precious time with our family. We will certainly be returning to this park!

  • " It was absolutely amazing: staff, camp site and amenities and all extras: swimming pool, bar, night entertainment, amusements."

It was absolutely amazing: staff, camp site and amenities and all extras: swimming pool, bar, night entertainment, amusement machines. We spent a wonderful time and a lot of money. But for the price of camping - it was WORTH it! Many thanks and for sure we will return again next year.

Thank you very much for your care, kindness and everything.

  • "I must say that all the staff at this Park were all wonderful and very happy to help our family."

I must say that all the staff at this Park were all wonderful and very happy to help our family. The best thing ever was my children loved the trains that passed the Park, we all had to shout ‘train’ when we saw one and the last one to say it had to run to the toilet block and back!!
