Cool, crisp sea air, delightfully sunny days spent lounging on the beach, fluffy candy floss and mouth-watering fish and chips all come to mind when thinking of Sandy Bay Holiday Park, a true gem of a destination perched on the north-eastern coast.
If you choose to bring your campervan, motorhome or trailer to Sandy Bay, you can book assured that your entire experience will be catered for in our newly-refurbished touring block. Whether your mobile abode is electric or not, you’ll have access to showers, toilets washing up sinks, fresh water points, water collection and disposal points, car parking and an electric hook-up. Make sure to pack the kids’ swimming gear – they’ll definitely want to splash around in our indoor pool – as well as monkeying around on the adventure playground, sports court and amusements arcade. The family can get together and enjoy a bite to eat and a drink at Sandy Bay’s Boathouse Bar and Restaurant, order a late-night treat from our takeaway and enjoy to the wonderful business of making memories together.
Sandy Bay is aptly-named thanks to the beach that’s located only seconds away from the site. The beach stretches for miles down the shore and makes for quite the spectacle, a perfect accompaniment to swimming in the crisp but rather cool ocean waters or making sandcastles with the young ones.
Further afield there’s the amazing sculptural spectacle that is Northumberlandia, the Lady of the North, plus the historical curiosities of the Morpeth, Mitford and Ogle Castles. The surrounding Northumbrian countryside is steeped in history and culture, and is just begging to be explored!
**New for 2016** Sandy Bay has has a facilities block refurbishment.
