Decide if the running costs are OK
Owning your own Holiday Home can be cheaper and easier than you think...
We have a number of finance options and sub-letting opportunities available to offset the price and running costs of your dream holiday home. Pitch fees and running costs can be paid monthly by direct debit, as can the payments for your new Holiday Home.
It’s worth noting that the loans are secured only against your Caravan Holiday Home. Finance packages available are subject to status and deposit criteria, written details available upon request.
As a rough guide to costs please search our Caravans and use the Finance Calculator available on the Caravan of your choice. For full details please speak to one of our advisors.
Annual Running Costs
In addition to the pitch fees (which include local authority business rates) there are other costs to be considered, just like the running of your permanent home you will need to pay extra for water & sewerage, insurance, gas and electricity. A breakdown of each running cost is detailed below, showing what is covered and which costs are charged for individually. This will help to give you an idea of the annual running costs you need to consider before purchasing your Caravan Holiday Home.
Water & Sewerage
Water company charges and sewerage rates are based on the value of each Caravan Holiday Home and the charges levied by the water authority local to the Park (just like your real home). These are payable in April/May.
All Owners must be adequately covered by a suitable insurance policy. We have an exclusive relationship with Arthur J. Gallagher Leisure Insurance to bring you Parkshield - cover that's specific to Holiday Home Ownership and tailored to your needs. Parkshield policys can be set up on Park by our Sales Team, and our staff are on hand to support you wherever and whenever you need us. So even when you are away from the park you can rest assured that everything will be taken care of quickly and professionally. You are welcome to choose your own insurer as long as the cover meets certain criteria (please ask the Sales Advisor about the necessary criteria) and that we are given a copy of the policy document.
Park Resorts Ltd is an appointed representative of Arthur J. Gallagher Insurance Brokers Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Registered Office: Spectrum Building, 7th Floor, 55 Blythswood Street, Glasgow, G2 7AT. Registered in Scotland. Company Number: SC108909.
Electricity is supplied to the Caravan Holiday Home via a meter and we then pass on to you the price paid to the electric provider by the Park. The sales advisor will confirm more precise costs once the specific caravan and pitch is chosen. Electricity charges and administration invoices are billed periodically in arrears.
Your Holiday Home will require a gas supply, the majority of Owners purchase bottled gas. Piped gas is only available on selected new pitch developments at certain Parks. Gas will be billed periodically in arrears. Current prices are available from your chosen Parks' Owners Enquiry Centre.
